# About Noometry

Noometry is an independent leaderboard for AI language models. It collects public benchmark results, puts them on one scale, and shows the price, context window and source behind every number, so you can pick a model without reading forty model cards.

## Why it exists

Every lab publishes its own results, on its own chosen benchmarks, in its own settings. Independent evaluators publish better numbers, but they are scattered across a dozen leaderboards. Noometry puts them in one place and is explicit about which is which.

## How it stays independent

-   We don't run paid placements in the rankings, and no lab can pay to change a score.
-   Every number links to where it came from. Self-reported results are labelled and weighted down.
-   The method is published in full on the [methodology page](https://noometry.com/methodology), with a changelog.
